its been only three weeks since i left, and so much has been happening in sunny little Singapore. floods, slow internet connection due to quake in taiwan. such fun.
and i heard there's not gonna be snow here this year.

Quick Update!
Fun Fact #3: The legal age in Holland is 16. =)
hello people! quick update here. i've been quite busy with unpacking, administrative stuff, familiarising myself with the neighbourhood and trying to pick up dutch so i dont really have the time to blog.
i took some pictures yesterday at the farm but the camera died on me today when i visited this great big magnificent church so i dont have anything to show for it. =(
i hope everyone's doing fine back in Singapore. huge thanks to those who wished me happy birthday at midnight singapore time for remembering. it really made my day! (and colleen im waiting for you to wish me happy birthday once its the 15th here in Holland!)
ill try to find time asap to put up some pictures and give a tour of my new home. today is my birthday and im going to the waterfront to see some dutch bands. im going to be the dutch ambassador to Singapore music! haha.
have a great happy gaffar's birth day ahead, and take care!

The Journey
Fun Fact #1: Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam is 4.5m below sea-level. The word 'nether' means being at a low position.
Changi Airport (Singapore) to Bangkok International (Bangkok, Thailand)

Bangkok International (Bangkok, Thailand) to Vantaa Airport (Helsinki, Finland)

Vantaa Airport (Helsinki, Finland) to Schiphol Airport (Amsterdam, Netherlands)
the whole journey took 20hours. it was really tiring but i managed to sleep quite a fair bit so its cool.
i was talking to a woman from Sweden on the Bangkok-Helsinki flight, and we were talking about bands since i knew that Sweden has an established metal scene. in the end i ended up giving her a wakemeupmusic compilation cd featuring local Singaporean bands which Ray from Kate of Kale initially gave me at the airport, cos i already had a copy. we exchanged emails and she promised to send me a copy of her boyfriend's metal band's demo cd. =)
i wrote notes at random times during the journey cos i was really bored. theyre all here if you wanna read them. =) (click for bigger image!)

Farewell My Friends
I'm terribly sorry if you havn't yet heard, but im leaving Singapore this coming Sunday the 10th of December, for Rotterdam, Holland.
The plan is to join my mom and sis, take a course of study then come back for NS in a couple years.
If anyone wants to leave well wishes feel free to do it via sms, msn or my tagboard! It would also be nice if you could be at Changi Airport Terminal 1 at around 9pm on Sunday to say goodbye. =)
